The Wild Beak EasyFeeder is designed to dispense a range of feed types with consistency and efficiency. Whether you’re feeding poultry, game birds, or even fish, it’s important to understand what the feeder can handle and how much area it can cover — especially when tailoring your setup to flock size or feed type.

Compatible Feed Types

Thanks to its motor-driven spinner plate, the EasyFeeder can reliably distribute a wide variety of dry, free-flowing feeds, including:

  • Whole grains – such as barley, wheat, and corn
  • Pellets – poultry pellets, fish pellets, or game feed
  • Mixed grain blends – as long as they remain dry and flow easily

Tip: Avoid sticky or clumpy feeds, as they can reduce performance or cause clogging.

How Feed Is Spread

When the timer activates the motor, feed drops onto the spinner plate, which rotates rapidly to fling the feed outward in a circular pattern. The final spread radius and quantity depend on:

  1. Motor Power Level
    Ranges from 25% to 100%, affecting throw distance
  2. Battery Voltage
    A 12V battery will throw the feed double the distance of a 6V battery
  3. Mounting Height
    A higher mount allows feed to spread further (we recommend 36 inches or more)
  4. Run Time
    The longer the motor runs, the more feed is dispensed
